According to Page Six, MTV (Music Television) is considering removing Michael Jackson from one of its prizes at its annual Video Music Awards (VMA). They allege the reason to be in Leaving Neverland. a scandalous documentary in which two men testify that the singer molested them in their childhood.

I call one of the awards at the VMA the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, and the TV channel is either renaming or canceling it for fear that there will be no one to hand over or there will be musicians who reject the Jackson-named award.

It can be easy for MTV not to give this prize every year, so they can simply not be awarded this year and then have another year to figure out how. By the way, Jacko received this award in 1988 and was named in 1991 in his honor.

This year, among others, Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish and Lil Nas X were nominated at the VMA, with Grande and Swift in 10–10 categories. By the way, Jennifer Lopez received the Jackson Award last year and was announced in July last year that this year’s transfer is uncertain.
