My teen shows me her Minecraft realms, and I am blown away by her talent. We watch anime together, and YouTube videos of her favorite songs. Her Skype friends have all met me, and yell “Hi mom!” when they know I’m in the room. I’ve even had some of her Skype friends ask me for advice with their life problems, because they feel like their own parents are not listening. They think that my daughter has the Coolest Mom Ever! (and isn’t that what we all secretly long to be?)

When an older guy started getting really inappropriate and asked for her to send naked pictures, she came to me right away. We blocked/banned/unfriended/and reported him to the FBI.

I pray that we will always have such closeness, and that she will always feel safe sharing her online world with me.
