I think it all starts with Twin Peaks, way back when. David Lynch on Network TV? Wow, the opening was moody and entered you into the world of the show, the static at the end , I believe gave us HBO’s static-y ID. The Sopranos opening then had a way of puttin you in your seat to be ready for the ride. True Blood was a case where the opening was, I felt, better than the show itself and one of the best. Master of None opened with credits, a sort of throw back feel. Love Stranger things.
