A 200-hour yoga teacher training program is an exciting and transformational endeavor. With the wealth of styles and schools of yoga in the west and throughout the world it can be difficult to decide on a specific training program.
Upon completion of a 200-hour teacher training, students should have a thorough understanding of the basic asana (yoga postures), including correct alignment and modifications. They should be familiar with basic pranayama (breathing), kriya (cleansing), chanting, mantra (verbal sounds or syllables) and meditation techniques that can assist their students and themselves in accessing the full benefits of a yoga practice.
