Cold showers

There’s a 20 foot high bridge near my house in the country-side that you can jump off. The estuary is usually freezing cold, but you’ll get the shock and thrill of your life jumping in. I’ve jumped in only with the courage brought to me by my friends who jumped with me — it’s scary as hell to do alone.

Every morning I bring back the memory of friendship and exhilaration to start the day by reserving the last 10–20 seconds in the shower for a wash of ice cold water. It wakes the body up, prevents our skin from becoming dry, improves our immune system and circulation and apparently stimulates weight loss.

It’s also super fun to do involuntary ‘the cold dance’ and spin around in circles… you’ll see what I mean.
