It’s just my personal theory. But it maybe true if you think about it.
Just look at the fact. The most educated countries usually don’t have kids (I’m looking at you germany and japan). Because the more educated people is, the more they consider everything more carefully.
Can I really afford kids? Do I really want it?
More specifically, women, who has ‘actual’ control over the childbirth. The more educated a woman is, the more she prefer quality over quantity. In general, they would really consider the consequences of having babies. It’s no more of pumping babies out of your vagina business. It’s the future.
Can I still pursue my dream if I’m having kids to take care of?
The educated women know what to do in their lives. They mostly know what’s worth fighting for and what’s not. Whether they choose to give up their big dreams or having kids and start a family.
The opposite, the unfortunate not-educated women tend to have babies without consideration. As they are in pumping babies business, they view themselves as a babymaker. That’s the reason they live. That’s their ‘job’.
I am not persuading educated women not to have babies, not at all. But I think, it comes naturally. Even if they choose to have kids, they will find themselves just having one or two. But with the best quality of possible.
So in general, without vasectomy or birth control, it’s probably one of the best possible population control we’ll have in the future.
