Forget Clones, now worry about Daylight Robbery on Appstore
Today I noticed a spike (548%) in my total daily player charts for my game “Dual Tennis”
Much to my excitement I checked app annie to figure out if my app was featured anywhere and I saw this; 20th position on Taiwan app store.
I had to create a new Taiwan appleid to open Taiwan appstore on my iPad but I didnt find my app there instead I found these two apps.
I was surprised to see they look exactly the same as my game and also to each other. See comparisons

My initial impression was these were exact clones and somebody had recreated these, so I downloaded them to try them out.
But I was shocked to realize these werent clones, they were my exact game, same source code, with just the game title, rating icon removed!!!
When coding Dual Tennis I had explicitly kept a very small difference in the incoming ball speed of the left and right tables.
Also the left and right swing animation of player differs slightly.
There is no way anyone can clone to that exact differences and only conclusion is these guys have just reposted my source code under their name.

I also did a spot check on the other games these developer are offering and saw the same pattern
Moto Rush 3D 2017 Free seems stolen from Subway Moto Rush
I’m not sure if they used the apk from google play store to do this. But this is alarming and I hope Apple takes notice and puts a lid on this illegal activity.
