There is also one easy aspect of it that I haven’t found mentioned yet (I have not checked all the comments, so I might not be the first): Doing something before going to work gives you the first achievement of the day. This might actually lie at the root of the positive outlook this triggers. And 20–30 minutes might be required for that achievement to be significant enough so that it actually sinks in.
