“I eat only after having the bath and doing puja (prayer)” This is a universal statement you listen from a typical Indian homemaker, and they feel very proud in revealing this religious side of her selves. Doing puja and being spiritual is the right thing and one should practice this for the improvement of mental power also, but skipping breakfast is not acceptable if you want to live a healthy life. Through this post, I am going to share about the importance of breakfast and why one should never skip it.

In my last article, I talked about How eating Chocolate is bad for health. In today’s article, I will throw light on why you should never, I repeat never skip your breakfast.

Breakfast is the first food we eat in the morning after waking up that’s why it is called breakfast. It is the most important meal that we give to our empty stomach after fasting for the whole night. It works like a fuel that is needed for the function of the human body and should eat within a couple of hours after waking up.

· Eating early breakfast works with the body’s natural rhythm and increases metabolism. For long-term it protects you from diabetes and heart diseases.

· Every woman wants to look beautiful and fit, but they don’t know that only having the breakfast on time can fulfil her dream at some point. Some skip their breakfast and think that they are cutting calories but by the time of lunch they starve and eat a lot. So having a healthy breakfast, with lots of fibre keeps them full and energetic till the lunch, reduces appetite and also prevent from eating unhealthy.

· Breakfast also restores glucose level that is needed for the brain to function. If you feed your meal on time then your memory power and concentration power increase. Eating on time also improve your mood and lower your stress and make you happy.

It is easy to make excuses, sometime you may be busy or not feeling hungry but remember eating at the right time is necessary for your body. At night only you decide what you can digest easily in the morning. You can have a handful of nuts, banana, curd, and oat, dairy to fill your empty stomach. Remember escape from eating any unhealthy food by the name of breakfast.

Celebrate breakfast as an occasion, where all the family sit together and eat. School and office going carry tiffin, so try to eat the first and most important food of the day together. This will establish a good breakfast habit into your kids also, and prevent them from many health-related issues.
