Say helloooo to your cell, you beautiful animal!
The reason for this post is to try and illustrate how wondrous the human body (your body) is.
My hope is that you go into the new year appreciating your body on a cellular level. So that you might send electrical impulses through thought and activate the healing magic that resides inside of you.
Let’s get started
Above is an illustration of a cell. The kind that you have in your body. Go ahead! Take a look! :)
Cells are the basic building blocks of all living things.
The human body is composed of approximately 37.2 trillion cells with more than 200 different types.
Their basic function is to provide structure for the body, take in nutrients from food, convert those nutrients into energy, and carry out specialized functions.
Take a look inside the cell where it looks like (at least to me) something I would see at the bottom of the ocean.
All those little thingamajigs are what resides inside each living breathing cell. They are called organelles.
Organelles are structures with specialized functions that reside inside the cell. (how small do things get!?). The name organelle comes from the idea that these structures are to cells what an organ is to a body.
They do a lot of work to help the cell stay healthy and functioning optimally. The more help they get (healthy food, thoughts, lifestyle), the more they help YOU.
All 37.2 trillion of you.
The largest one in the center is the nucleus. This is the home of your personal DNA production factory. Everything that is you is made in this center part of the cell. It’s constant. As long as you are breathing your DNA is being manufactured.
Let’s take a look inside of the nucleus. Where we find yet another, even smaller part of the cell. The nucleolus.
The nucleolus is in the very center of the very center of your cell.
And it is chock full of function and creation.
This is where ribosome synthesis and assembly occurs.
Please stay with me. I promise this is about you.
Ribosomes are remarkable little particles that are responsible for manufacturing a cell’s proteins.
You’ve heard it before, “protein are the building blocks of the body.”
It’s not lip service. It’s true. On a microscopic scale the food you choose to eat, becomes the cells of your body. The cells form the tissue. The tissue forms the organ. Then, organ systems and finally, the organ systems become the courageous, magnificent, brilliant, strong, resilient organism that is your human body.
I get chills just thinking about it!
Each of your 37.2 trillion cells is constantly moving, creating, dividing, dying and doing it all over again from the time of (before) birth to your last breath.
What happens after that I could not say (although, I have plenty of opinions about it).
If 37.2 trillion of you is recreating itself every second of the day, inside your own body. Then, you MUST have the power and ability to do it in your daily life.
Now that you’ve read this, what happens now?
Now is the time for you to let go of all the BS that holds you back.
Now is the time for you to embrace yourself with compassion, and with an appreciation for the brilliance you are on a cellular level.
Read the next part slowly and out loud.
“I am filled with a multitude of microscopic miracles. That includes my thoughts.
Every thought I think squirts out chemicals from my brain that then, becomes part of my body and joins the symphony of life that resides in my body which serves as my vessel as I walk the earth.
I promise to take exquisite care of this vessel that has been gifted to me, and I will do this in any way that helps it to thrive and be a positive force in this world.
My ability to take care of my vessel will help me to be a better _____ [ fill in the blank ] and carry out the promises I’ve made.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you”
I know this post was longer than usual, and I hope it wasn’t too dry for you. I really wanted to dig a little deeper into the miracles that occur. Miracles that the naked eye couldn’t possibly see on your behalf every day.
If you read this far, I am so grateful for that, and grateful for you.
Dear reader — From the bottom of my heart, I wish you a 2016 that is filled with health, joy, forgiveness, compassion and abundance in all things good.
I wish you to see the world with eyes of a child and feel victorious when you wake in the morning.
I wish you success in all your endeavors and a pure heart in your decisions.
I wish you love and most of all, I wish you peace.
Peace unto you.
Happy New Year!
