I love your idea and I’m glad that you have notice it. I’m from the small country Bulgaria and I’m not sure about other countries, but here the most important think about the people who work are the money. So, I think that the “work symbol” can be a coin or a briefcase with coin. I’m not sure how often the briefcase is used these days, but I think people are too familiar with it already and it will be awkward if it disappear completely. A little change though can be good. That’s my idea, hope you like it!
