I’ve felt similarly about a number of my favorites. I fear, to some extent, it is inevitable and that I will continue to discover new favorites posthumously. While it’s bittersweet, like you, what I will cherish more is the path that led me to them — even after death — and the blessing of knowing them/their work, for I am/will be richer because of it.
