On College Athletes

For my blog series I will be talking about if College Athletes should be paid or not. This is a very controversial topic because this debate has been in debated for many years now and I would love to talk about rather they should be getting paid or not. So I chose this topic to find out more about college athletes.

This topic is constantly brought up because some people feel as if these hard working college athletes should be getting paid for their duties. While others people it would be baffling to pay these athletes on a salary bases. I believe it’s a very interesting topic because you can choose both sides. Like for me personally I want to do more research on the topic because I don’t know why side I would be on. But then again I can agree with both sides and I have reasoning why I would choose either sides which makes it an very interesting debate if you ask me. It’s simply relevant because college athletics will always be around so for as love as college sports is around this topic will be relevant because it will constantly be brought up. And college sports isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. College sports is an hot commodity and this topic very big in the college world so it’s very relevant to every who supports college athletics. But it can also be relevant to anyone who watch sports and even random. I’m sure if you ask a random their personal opinion they might engage in the topic because it has to do with “money”. A lot of people would state their stance just off the fact it has to do with “money”. Some may say don’t pay these kids and some might just say pay these kids.

This topic isn’t too broad or too narrow. I feel it’s a perfect topic because it’s a lot of things you can learn about but it’s not like too much you will learn about which I think it isn’t too broad or too narrow. I am a fan of college sports but this topic is something that never crossed my mind. I never paid attention to it I was just more of a fan really never wanted to critique or debate in any sort of this subject matter. But I would love to look more into it. I think it will be great to do more research about the topic. I want to really be very open minded about this topic and take my personal stance because as of right now I have no idea which side I would take. So I feel like it’ll be pretty interesting to learn about and to attain some knowledge about. So I chose this topic to learn more about college athletes.

This topic has legs because you can look at it in many ways. It’s many things you can talk about with sports in general. But with this topic I feel like you can talk about why they should be getting paid and what is it that they’re simply doing to where they should be getting paid and also I can talk about why they shouldn’t be getting paid and reasonings why they shouldn’t get paid. It’s many reasons why they should and shouldn’t get paid and doing the research to find out those reasons I feel like it’ll be interesting and also I will find out a lot of information to where I can strength the topic and go at it in different angles. I feel with this topic you can cover a lot because it’s a lot of different areas you can tackle. And it’s areas you can take from both perspectives.

So for my blog series I would love to talk about if I feel like if College Athletes should be getting paid or if they shouldn’t be getting paid. I feel this topic is controversial, relevant in most cases, not too broad or too narrow, and generally has legs. So I would love to do further research on the topic and do my blog series on college athletes because I feel like it would be very interesting and I would love to know more about the topic.
