A Short Story on How My Teacher’s Note Allowed me to Run for Office

The Campaign Begins in College

When I got to college, their “first week of college fair”, all the clubs lined up to get you to join them.

I was with my friends, and The Debate and Speech Team said something to us.

I naturally walked over, and the first thought that went through my head, was that teacher in Junior High’s note said:

“You’re a great speaker. You should run for office one day”

Sure, not to my friends were surprised, I had regular debates with them,

• in class, with students
• with teachers (respectfully of course)
• at high school parties
• in the car

Well, you get the idea!

Anyway, this would pave the way to interning for the parliament overseas
