Honestly, I’m so exhausted and fed up with constantly being the target of unwanted male attention. I’m not joking — I can’t stand flirting, I don’t enjoy being looked at, and I absolutely hate being seen as attractive just for existing. It feels gross. One of the main reasons I don’t even have a photo on here is that I want to avoid that kind of attention entirely.

Here’s the situation: my husband’s best friend is this genuinely sweet guy who’s clearly on the autism spectrum. He’s had a tough time with relationships, and women have taken advantage of him in the past. He’s the kind of person who wants love so badly that he’d do almost anything for a relationship.

Whenever the three of us hang out, I notice the way he looks at me — with those big, admiring puppy eyes — like I’m the most beautiful person in the room. I’ve always ignored it, never engaged.
