- Clean and disinfect
Did you know that a salt is a fantastic tool for cleaning and disinfecting rugs? If you notice that your rugs have dust, or are dirty, in general, cover it with a layer of salt. Keep it curled for several hours and then uncurl it and remove the salt using a vacuum cleaner. The dirt will stick to the salt and come out more easily.

- Eliminate bad odors
The rug may not have visible stains, but that does not mean it does not get any bad odors. This usually happens over time and the best way to get rid of them is with baking soda. The solution to all your problems! Sprinkle a little of this product on the rug and let stand for about four hours. Then, remove it with a vacuum cleaner and it’s done.

- Removing food and beverage stains
There is no one who has not some wine or coffee ever spilled on the rug? So that when you pass does not panic, we have the solution. Mix warm water, vinegar and neutral detergent in a bowl. Stir well and apply to the stain. With a sponge, rub gently for several minutes. Let it act and then wipe it with a clean cloth. Easy, practical and economical!

- Wine stains on rug
Another trick to clean and remove rug stains is to use water in three different ways: water with bicarbonate, hydrogen peroxide or sparkling water. Choose a mixture then apply it on the spot and without rubbing, let it work for a few minutes. Pass absorbent paper (or a dry cloth) over and let science do the rest! Of course, whenever you do always try to clean from the outside in to avoid that the stains become bigger.

However, regardless of whether they are dirty or not the rug should be thoroughly cleaned at least once a year.
