On selfishness

Men lying to women to get sex, vanquishing them. Out of control bullying that is always only about consolidating the dominant discourse, and therefore about taking power from “weaker” underprivileged and underserved populations that own less wealth and cannot as such defend themselves from all the discrimination they face daily, whether at work in their wages, their mortgages, their credit cards, the sedimentation of the erosion of rights of vulnerable populations as an historical phenomenon.

The thing is that selfishness makes people actually feel superior too — the more they can cloister themselves in their privilege, and exclude others, the better they feel. Their psychopathic detachment and dissociation makes them feel their sense of superiority is deserved. They act it out by attacking those they consider weaker, whether upon ableist, racist, homophobic, or classist bases.

Selfishness is about consolidating one’s own superiority by exploiting the vulnerability and sensitivity of others.

The rich get richer and the poor keep getting poorer. Trickle down psychopathy. The death drive of capitalism, the egotism of the selfish & “superior”.
