Power to the Pussy Part 2

Dedicated to Ezra Riemer on his special day.

So Marilyn Monroe was the most beautiful woman on earth in her time, and she was pimped and whored. Sexually abused, exploited, and mistreated.

She’s not the only one.

The adult industry is nothing but. Prince, before his mysterious death spoke out, claiming “Record contracts are just like — I’m gonna say the word — slavery…I would tell any young artist… don’t sign.”

Was “Keisha’s song” about Kesha?

Seriously though, the artist Kesha, sexually abused by Dr. Luke would know better than anyone about the twin evils of sexual abuse and exploitation that women in the industry face.

For the most talented women artists, I would submit that they are, in fact, forced into a form of sexual slavery.

Their “success” is a product of male domination, in which their image, their body, their talent is exploited ad absurdum.

They are respectable insofar as they are desirable and traffic-able.

The most beautiful women on earth are treated like whores.

Meanwhile, P-I-M-Ps are seen as the true artists, the pinnacle of cool.

And over and over, mostly white men wanting to act tough have played the same cards. They would lie to me, act in love, use me for sex and discard me. If their self-esteem was really low, they would even imply that I was a sex worker.

The most shocking thing is how morally self-righteous so many men are about emotionally and sexually exploiting women, degrading and lying to them, and that they feel so fully entitled to abuse and degrade women every way under the sun, they believe it is their God-given right.

THE MOST OFFENSIVE HYPOCRISY. What the fuck is new?

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
