Title: Candid, Honest & Helpful

Review: It’s about time that a Christian book and author decides to tackle sex in a candid and honest way, and that is exactly what Lucille does here. From the start of the first chapter, I was literally laughing out loud. Her approach is informative, but not formal; you feel like you’re getting advice from a friend- advice that will actually help. As a mom with little kids, many aspects of the book really spoke to where I am at. Lucille writes, “‘Okay, I’ve got thirty minutes right now; after that your window is closed.’” I loved that she let’s you know it’s okay to put sex on your timetable, because with small kids, making things spontaneous, just doesn’t happen. Plus, a whole chapter is dedicated to body image. It is here she introduces the “What He Wants You To Know” quotes from husbands about their wives. I loved getting a window into the things men think about sex and their spouses. And it’s all anonymous, so you know it’s honest. She writes in this chapter, “Please don’t let ‘extra’ pounds or issues become a barrier between you and your husband. Either lose it or let him use it. Remember, ‘We men like it all,’ and ‘You are fine!’” After kids have taken you from tight and right, to loosey goosey, these words are extremely comforting. To sum it up, I loved it. I laughed, I cried, and I got advice that has actually helped improve my sex life.

Review: I love the acceptance we are taught in this book for our own flaws and those of our spouse. What I’ve gotten from this book is that we don’t have to be perfect to love each other. We don’t have to be perfect to make love to each other and be fulfilled. Love, common sense, forgiveness and God is all we need. I’m grateful for this book and that Lu Williams decided to write it. I’ve been married for 36 years this year and found many useful attitudes and different ways to look at things that are improving my relationship with my husband.

Review: Wow amazing from the beginning to the end full of enlightening information, what stood out to me the most is whats related to my own past relationship. There’s a story in the beginning about a woman who didn’t have sex with her husband for 15 months, if I didn’t know better I’d think she was talking about me and my husband, If I would have read this book prior to being fed up I would most likely still be married. I’ve learned so much about myself and more important about the opposite sex and the way they think, believe me I thought I know it all in fact I knew very little after reading this book. I’m not married anymore because God wasn’t in the center of our marriage I went to Chuch he didn’t There’s a story about a man throwing out all his Playboy books and how the wife didn’t care, me on the other hand was furious when I found out my husband had been looking at nude women on the internet and photos causing arguments and discomfort in our marriage after reading how this woman attitude was she stated it didn’t bother her because men are just wired different they need visuals if knowing what I have learned by reading this book I know I’d still be married. My future when I get married again will be better and more important God will be in the front center and back of our relationship this book was written more like therapy to help ladies and men. All I can say about this book is that I’ve learned a whole new way of thinking when it comes to the intimacy I crave and I do believe if I incorporate the thought pattern of this book I won’t have any issues.. Great read ❤️❤️❤️
