On Tuesday, a group of friends are planning a dinner on Friday. Chat started on wechat(social app).

“Here are two places that Holly suggests. What do you guys want?”

Friday dinner in San Francisco can be tough without a reservation. So I immediately went to check the availability on OpenTable and reported back to the group that one of them available at 9:45, and the other doesn’t accept reservations.

So I proposed to look for one that is in the area. I want to share with the group asking for opinions, so I took two screenshots from the app and send to the group.

They were nice enough to agree on the first round. After a few back and forth on checking the head counts, I went ahead and reserve the place. I don’t have their email addresses and didn’t feel like asking them, so I was looking for a shareable confirmation page(link) to share to the group. Which turned out to be embarrassingly long link.

Then one from the group mentioned that the time is too late and suggested to move to an earlier time slot. After a group consensus, I made the change. But found the following up email much harder to read than the original confirmation email.
