The Snoopy Museum Tokyo is a small museum dedicated to Charles Schulz’s famous Peanuts character Snoopy.

Website (English):
https://snoopymuseum.tokyo/s/smt/page/english?ima=0000

Tickets:
On the website, you can buy tickets in advance for 1800 yen for adults and 800 for highschool students and 400 for kids. You can also purchase tickets at the museum in person, but keep in middle that they will only sell if there is enough available and will also be a bit more expensive compared to buying online.

Sessions:
They are open 7 days and include holidays and have time slots from 10am to 4pm with a special timeslot of 6pm for Friday to Sunday and holidays.

Location:
The museum is located near Minami-Machida Grandberry Park train station which you can get to from Shibuya station using the “Den-en-toshi” Line
What is great about the location is the area is fairly new and also has a large outlet mall area with lots of shopping options.

My Experience:
For my wife and I, we decided to go on a Saturday morning and we had to wait until 10:30 am to be able to buy that days tickets online, but was able to and what is great is that its not restricted to a particular time slot which was nice. I currently live in Setagaya and getting to Minami-Machida Grandberry Park was quite easy because trains in Japan are amazing.

The Snoopy Museum was a fun experience. Its a three story building where each floor has two sections except the first floor being just the gift shop area. We started on the third floor, we watched an amazing animation video projected on multiple walls going circulating 180 degrees around us, which is fun when you eyes have to chase the characters as they move from wall to wall. In the second section we went through some classic history of the cartoon series, read short strips that were on the walls. Luckily the strips are in English and the Japanese translations are printed beside the strips. There was an outdoor area on the balcony where people could take photos with a wall full of pictures of snoopy.

The second floor contained a gallery of Snoopy models in different poses which was great to re-enact and take photos with. After that was some more classic cartoon snippets and a yellow room with a monitor going through some peanut animations.

The last floor was the gift shop where we picked up some nice things for ourselves. Overall i was surprised that the museum wasn’t crowded and had enjoyed my time there. It took us about 30 minutes to get through everything, but its something light and both my wife and I enjoy.

Right next to the Snoopy Museum there is the Peanuts Cafe, but unfortunately it was too crowded for us to get into.

Another great thing about Minami-Machida GrandBerry Park is the shopping outlet that it has. There are a number of different stores to look into, arcades, 109 movie theatre and also the KFC restaurant that i kinda wanted to try, which is a KFC buffet.

If you do get some time in Tokyo, i would highly recommend going to the Snoopy Museum and also checking out the area because there is lots to see and do.
