Belitung Island in Indonesia is a beautiful place that has not yet gained a lot of attention, but it has breathtaking natural beauty. Here are ten exciting places that highlight the beauty of Belitung Island.

1. Tanjung Tinggi Beach — A Beautiful Spot with Large Rocks

We were welcomed by blue skies and green seawater at Tanjung Tinggi Beach. The highlight of this beach are the large granite rocks scattered along the shore. During low tide, we walked among the beautiful rocks, took pictures, and felt the cool breeze of the sea.

2. Lengkuas Island — The Historic Lighthouse

Lengkuas Island is a well-known destination in Belitung. Here stands an old lighthouse that has 313 stairs. At the top of the lighthouse, you can admire the beauty of Lengkuas Island. Looking down, you can see the stunning turquoise waters and the shining white sand reflecting the sunlight. It would be a pity to miss this view.

3. Batu Berlayar Island — A Wonder of Nature

Batu Berlayar Island is a small island that has a beach and large granite rocks. The main attraction of this tourist spot is the sight of the large granite rocks. When the tide is high, the whole island is under seawater, and the large granite rocks seem to be sailing. Visitors can walk on the sand and large granite rocks on this island when the tide is low. Isn’t it interesting? Visitors need to cross the shallow and rocky seabed by boat to reach this island.

4. Kaolin Lake — Blue Lagoon

In the past, Kaolin Lake was a place where mining happened but nothing else. But now, it is a popular place to visit for people who go to Belitung Island. At Kaolin Lake, you will find a large, blue body of water that looks stunning next to the white, rocky hills. This makes it a great place to take beautiful photos that you can share on Instagram.

5. Burung Island — The sound of waves rippling

Burung Island is an interesting place because of the large granite rocks that look like bird’s nests. The calming sound of the waves and the refreshing ocean breeze create a pleasant atmosphere. You can enjoy playing on the beach and taking pictures with the well-known granite rocks in the background.

6. Pasir Island — A Miracle in the Middle of the Sea

In reality, Pasir Island isn’t a proper island. It’s called gosong, which is a heap of sand that only consists of sand. However, the island isn’t always visible and can be discovered. When the tide goes out, the pile of sand that creates the island will be visible. The island, roughly half the size of a soccer field, will be submerged again or disappear when the tide comes back.

7. Kelayang Island — The Magic Between the Islands

You can enjoy a beautiful view from a height when you visit Kelayang Island. We can climbed the island’s hill and saw a breathtaking view of the nearby islands scattered across the blue ocean.

8. Burung Mandi Beach — A Hidden Paradise

Burung Mandi Beach has a stunning view. Gunung Burung Mandi, a mountain with the same name as the beach, is located behind it. This makes the beach one-of-a-kind in Belitung. This is the only beach that has a mountain in the background.

9. Leebong Island — The Charm of Black Coral

The island is well-known as Indonesia’s Maldives because of its beautiful views and peaceful environment. Leebong Island has kept its unique characteristics and has many mangrove forests. The lovely green mangroves add beauty to Leebong Island, which is a great spot for taking pictures.

10. Tanjung Kelayang Beach — The Best Place to Watch Sunset

The most beautiful place to see the sunset is Tanjung Kelayang Beach. It was a magical experience to see the orange and blue sky blend together beautifully.

The adventure on Belitung Island was really amazing. The beautiful nature, stunning beaches, and charming small island have amazed us. Belitung Island is a destination that will impress travel enthusiasts and nature lovers alike and leave a lasting impact.
