Born in Kamifurano Town
I spent my childhood to high school years in a small town called Kamifurano in Sorachi, Hokkaido, Japan.
There is a hop farm cultivating hops, the raw material for Sapporo Beer, and the town is also famous for livestock.
‘Furano Wagyu,’ which was served at the Lake Toya Summit, and the rare cut pork loin known as ‘pork sagari’ are well-known. Although I haven’t been there recently, the yakiniku set featuring pork sagari at a restaurant called ‘Marumasu’ is exceptional.
Each person is provided with an individual shichirin (charcoal grill) for yakiniku, allowing you to grill and enjoy the meat just the way you like, even in a group.
