‪#‎XUXD‬: Design for User Experience (Day 6)

Today I found something shocking and suprising. I found a writeup which stated there is nothing called UX design. It backed it up with the point that The way users feel (the experience) can’t be designed as it is something unique to each user and only happens during use of the product. I agree and I also disagree.
User Experience is the way the user feels when using a product (much like how you feel while using whatsapp or your tooth brush). True, no one can design exactly how you will feel while using whatsapp, but to some extent certain user behaviour are expected and also user(you) also have certain expectations from the product, that is why you used it in the first place.
So can the user expectation be designed? I say yes. User experience (UX) design seeks to study user behaviour and also understand common expectations of users.
The experience of a user cannot be exactly designed but it can be influnced by designing your product to meet user expectations.
I think its more like DESIGN FOR USER EXPERIENCE

Lets meet again tomorrow which is the last day of #XUXD series (funny how time flies).
