“First of all,introduction”

The above are the words of the great philosopher the world has ever known. The aptness of this statement finds meaning as well in the postulation of Emile Durkheim when he submitted that “the first course of duty of a sociologist is to first define its terms”. In recognition of this,we feel it pertinent to introduce to Ladies and Gentlemen those who will be featuring in this book of chronicle and to further amplify the of perception of the raison d’eterez of this thread especially to those who are not familiar with this landscape.

The thread “The law,the Street and the Crossroad” is a piece that attempts to project to the world the life of law students and in the same connection explore the relationship between the law and the street. In other words,it considers the question of what the connection between those lifeless words in the statutes(the constitution to the lay man) and the individuals expected to bear with the law or break it! As law students, non-law students on campus hold the view that life to us is a bed of roses, but contrary to their beliefs,it is a bed of thorns. Only just that we have found ways to trim these thorns into petals. Some feel we are only book wise and not street wise. They forgot that we make the laws of the street( Street O.T). When Olamide, our philosopher said “Street ti take over” he meant law students have taken over.

In light of this, this piece decides to pick the gauntlet by selecting members of law class 20 with a view to extolling their tenacity in blending their law commitments with their street commitments. This piece seeks to appreciate their struggles and travails and for excelling both at the temple of justice and Lori titi( on the street). This is the voice of the law and the street.
