Let me correct this statement: “Blockchains based upon any single metric or multiple metrics will become centralized even if those in power spread propaganda about how decentralized the system is”

The reality is that the only ultimate metric is wealth. You could have any number of different metrics and beauty contests, but ultimately people with the most wealth or money will be able to purchase BP spots from people who win any of these contests.

You can’t escape human nature. At the end of the day the single wealth pareto distribution will rule over all other different ones.
