On rumination
Sit down. Don’t look at your phone. Don’t think about work.
Play this song or the one at the end of this post. Play whatever lets you let go and forget about everything.
Think about the people you love, the people you care about.
Think about their strengths and weaknesses. Their tribulations. How they have grown through the years. Their selfishness and selflessness. Where their pain and happiness originates from.
Think about how they have affected your life.
Think about how you can help theirs.
But don’t think too hard. Think enough to get a better understanding of yourself, and enough so that you can empathize to your greatest capacity for those you love.
