Social Creator Platform OGQ has been exploring the field of e-commerce to help content creators apply their designs in real products, which can be a better way for them to connect with fans and make extra revenues. In August, OGQ acquired Womanstalk, an online credit settlement commerce platform.
The acquisition is expected to bring together Womenstalk’s strength in e-commerce and OGQ’s expertise in platform development as well as creator economy.
On Tuesday, the cofounder of Womanstalk and general manager of OGQ, Kyle Kim, shared his e-commerce experience and insights with all OGQ members.

Nowadays we can see a growing number of blockchain projects with the purpose to protect creators’ copyright of intangible and vulnerable digital contents. South Korea’s CJ Corp is tapping Amazon’s blockchain for music copyrights, and global media giant Warner Music Group revealed that it will be creating digital assets using a new public blockchain backed by CryptoKitties.
With the tamper-resistant, irreversible, and traceable nature of blockchain, digital content creators can expect to keep a reliable record of their copyright, and sue against traceable infringement. However, dominant digital content platforms still have a long way to go to achieve this.
The digital content market is estimated to be valued at $283.3 billion as of 2019 and is expected to double by 2023. The market size of more than $500 billion is equivalent to Singapore’s GDP in 2019. …
Recently, OGQ launched a new version of its social creator platform in partner with the Korean web portal giant Naver, Naver OGQ Market 2.0.
