Our purpose is to do the best we can given a set of circumstances given our current dispositions. Too many people think they always have to say yes to others and neglect their own needs. Trying to be the best version of ourselves should be what we strive for. We know we have a certain potential and it is up to us to decide which way to go. Trauma often gets in the way.

I also noticed, however, that we are sometimes willing to give to people things they don’t want to receive and vice versa. I struggle with that one a little a the moment.

I agree, it is a fact that relationships is what makes us who we are. I never seek happiness, I find that rather shallow. I know it will come and go anyway. Lots of food for thought here. Great article!
