Week 17 — Hosting (The End of Days)

Well the last week of class has arrived, and it is safe to say that I have learned a lot this semester. Whilst at times the distance format of delivery was challenging, I believe it was definitely worth my time.

For the final assessment we had to compare a bunch of web hosting options, so I got right into the research with a bunch of mates (it made it less boring!) and this is what I came up with:

Although I haven’t included it in the table above, all of the three hosting companies displayed here offered some form of guarantee when it came to the security of your website’s data. They all offered backup as part of their plans, as well. All of the above web hosters offer 50 email accounts as part of their bundle, though Host Papa is currently offering an unlimited amount on the deal that they have going at the moment.

Of all the plans reviewed I believe that Host Papa provides what I would need to host my website. It’s combination of unlimited disk space and bandwidth is a great calling card. On top of this they have slashed their pricing from $9.95 a month to $3.95, making it an affordable option.
