You Need to Give Up These Toxic Habits If You Want to Be Confident and Successful
Elle Kaplan

On fear:

Whenever I am being indecisive it is usually due to fear of the unknown. I’ve started asking myself, “what would you do if you weren’t afraid?” and 9/10 times it helps me to make a decision and move on.

On comparisons:

I read a quote that said, “when you compare yourself to others, you compare their highlight reel to your outtakes,” meaning it’s human nature to exaggerate another person’s positive characteristics and devalue one’s own. I always tell myself that Eric Clapton was upstaged by Jimi Hendrix — someone is always better than you.
