The 30 Day plank challenge

Take two…

On a complete whim, I started a 30 day plank challenge. It was not a new years resolution. It was because I gained a bunch of weight over the holidays and I thought it would be a great fake workout, for one minute each day, until I could get my fat-ass back in shape to start working out for real. I made it 7 days in a row, and did a solid 2 minute plank on day 7. Not bad. Frankly, I am not even sure I was doing it right, I just started at a minute and increased a little each day. Whatever.

I went on a week long conference in NYC and even packed my token workout clothes as if I would actually find time for the gym. Then I stayed out late, got up early, drank too much and talked so much I lost my voice by Friday. Worked myself into physical exhaustion.

So, I get the chance to start over. This time I will be a little stronger and might even mix in an actual workout for a change of pace. If you read the title and thought this would be an inspiring post about some magic workout plan…sorry. But if you started a workout plan on January 1st and gave up already. I hope you’ll start over with me.
