Generally speaking I liked the article even that I do not agree on more than few points. I envy anyone who can retire early and live happily with that decision. That means relying 100% on savings and investments since pension will not kick in before age of 65 or 67!

Former accountant Derek Foster wrote several books on that theme and they are available on Amazon. He also retired before 35. Maybe he is boosting his income with those books. But according to his calculations and proofs it is entirely possible to retire on investments of about 350k.

I am for more modest living, smaller house, avoid fancy car, avoid condo, not spending on fashion, expensive trips and what not. I am against frugality and especially against extreme frugality. I think first one leads to second one where lack of money dictates too much of the sacrifice. I hope decisions like that affect adults only, not a children. Children should not suffer such drastic measures by parents. I have many doubts about that part.

Here is my view to how to retire safely.
