Just say “no” to capitalism, it’s addiction and it is bad for you.
I’m going to tell you something about us, and the United corporate States of America. And in doing so I hope you can begin to start saying no.
We the “us”, are the serfs, the myriads, the imposed on. We the “us” are the ones forced to do the hierarchical taparoo, or dancing if you will. We the “us” are the workforce, predicated in parts from religious philosophy and others from a natural societal congruence.
I mean after all is said and done It feels nice to help out huh? Lending helping hands in our personal life’s attributes to that basic humane effigy, you know, the feeling that lights that old consumer wheeld’ heart up.
So it’s only natural to see on the macro-scale , we help our corporate overlords. But here there is a big difference. We lend hands daily for wages predetermined, and not often justly so. Sometimes work efforts exceed their compensation. Id like to say there’s some kind of “retribution” for this, but sadly folks a mere garnishing of wages speaks to nothing other than what a contractual environment propagates.
It supposes first an “ideal” arrangement of “benefits”, for both parties involved (i.e. worker, employer), then proceeds to syphon the time of life away, indiffenitely for years. With no real continuity for personal growth, other than the scraps of profits left over, that which are unevenly distributed. But ofcourse there are skills to be developed, especially that of a trade or study. One shouldnt shy away from that type of growth in your abilities.
The bottom line however is, unless you can afford to walk away, and try again to rearrange the benefits of capitalism more in your favor; this life here they’ve created for us is one cruel bitch.
This very day, as I sit here writing this now, I am entangled in the decisions that I must account for.
Do I get a job at a machine shop, lawn service, some sort commercial conglomerate (walmart, mcdonalds, etc)? While I myself like to write, create and share to the most ridiculous ends. Even if I had been “smarter” as they say, and gotten myself a career set up through proper merits, or proper schooling; this would still lend me out to those in charge of the respective fields in those types of pursuit. Think for instance the very nature of “proprietary design”, locked in the legality of one owner/owners outlook for its potential. Then you see, it’s a bent will here and progress is levied by financial gain or financial risk.
And while maybe if i did go to college, i’d use less superlatives, have more rich friends, and become more financially secure; hell maybe i would even have more of a robust respect. It would still syphon my time here gone. All for what? So the incessant need to continuously spend and consume can continue at its preposterous rate. At a rate inclined to starve out a planets resources? So corporate entities can continue practicing “planned obsolescence”. No sir, no thank you.
You see what occurs to me about my predicament, and more importantly all of our positions here, is theres a true unequivocal balance of time. The coercive means by which, a person is in obligation, to secure pecuniary support from an institution, no matter if it’s goals and objectives correlate to personal interest or not. Keeps us stagnate in their own ideas of success, not our own.
That itself is fine without us. They can continue to have their businesses, their own interests too. But don’t deny me my right of time, my right to have the necessary, multiple sessions of self reflection. Don’t because your denying the process of humanity itself.
The true crux for “us” is that if humanity were really in charge, it wouldn’t harm itself. Wouldn’t pollute itself, out of self interest or greed. Wouldn’t impose itself on others and force them to lead life’s they don’t want to live. It wouldn’t be afraid to breathe in descent with the respective cultural differences. It wouldn’t be a ‘syphoner’ of time here, and instead would advocate life in all of its experiences. Humanity would ultimately surmise a system that encourages many different view points of life, and would make things less cold heartedly objective.
We need a system based off of love, and not one of fear or violence. Not one that divides it’s citizens, and offers no solutions to the condition that it creates.
I mean my God folks, this is in essence a theater show depicting us sacrificing our time here as a virtue. Something good for the “economy” and “GDP” whatever, it’s not good for you and me. “us” we never truly get to be put in the mechanism of the U.S.
Please don’t mistake yourself, we’re not. It doesn’t matter whose in office, who will be in office cause it will always involve the game of capitalism. If the U.S. truly cared about the struggling condition, everyone’s rent, financial debts, anything that results as a negative extrapolation would be mitigated like it was for the banks.
No amount of money like that would ever go to helping out all of “us”, the disenfranchised, the depressed, the cognitively dissonant worker bees.
So at the end of the day, as your winding down, and you just got back from your modernly slaved away-at day. Remember, tomorrow you’ll be reapproached, and it’ll even stifle you out of your sleep. A guy with really nice designer shoes, a nice tailored suit, and a fat wallet will come up to you.
And he feels superior in every way, as he knows you are indebted to him. After all if it weren’t for him you wouldn’t be surviving. As he goes to speak, and your skin starts to crawl because something else is calling you. Remember all you have to do really is, just say no.
