For the past several months, I have been a part of two high school musical theater productions. Through a lot of stressful scheduling and expended gasoline, I attended rehearsals at both my own high school and an all girls school who needed a few male actors. My experience at each was very different, with the girls school’s reputable and well-funded program, and my school’s fully student-run mess. However, the disheveled production at my own school had far more payoff, and I’ll explain why.
