Fighting Terrorism from Within

The LAU communication arts department organized a performance that took place in the Erwin auditorium on the Beirut campus.

The play describes how Arabs are being effected by westernization and the how arabs are becoming immune to the word “Arab terrorist”.

The primary actor in play, Majd khiami, explains how LAU tries to send a message that fights back the long and on going stereotype about Arabs and terrorism.

With this stereotype, this play tries to combat the term “Arab terrorist” from within before sending their message to those who gave it to us.

The students worked hard to send out their message with infuriation and anger about how the stereotype has leaked into the Lebanese mentality. This shows how the students in the play added a more personal side to the story than expected to fight terrorism with their voices and spirits.
