Today, I sent bulk emails to www.ohiochineseamericannews.com subscribers. Of course, I am one of the subscribers. When I clicked the link, I was told

Suspicious link — This link leads to an untrusted site. Are you sure you want to proceed to www.ohiochineseamericannews.com?

See the below picture.

Suspicious link in your sent bulk email

Fortunately, I was able to fix this issue today. I wrote this down so in the future when I encounter the same/similar problem, this article will help you. Hopefully, it is useful to you as well.

Step 1 — Go to postmaster.google.com, and enter the domain you want to be authenticated in your bulk email. In my case, it is

www.ohiochineseamericanews.com

Enter the domain you want to authenticate

Step 2 — Click “Next”, you will see the following window.

Instructions to verify your ownership of a website

Step 3 — Add a TEXT record to your website DNS Configuration.

HOST is @, and TXT value is the value given in the instruction in the form of google-site-verification=h5jG… See the below picture.

Add a TXT record in your website DNS Configuration

If you do not configure correctly, you will see something as in the below picture; otherwise, if you configure correctly, within minutes or seconds (in my case, within seconds) it will take effect. Then go back to the instruction page, and click “Verify”.

After you verify it, you will need to wait up to 72 hours (see below, in my case, several hours), the link is working.

Now, you can relax and enjoy the fruit of solving the bulk email “suspicious link” problem.

Thank you for reading, hope it helps you as well!
