Is the ‘Irish Goodbye’ Right for You?

I have done this and I don’t think I’m “precisely the sort of rude ass-sandwich who would pull this shit” — rather, I simply know that I am not a party animal or a drinker and by leaving quietly, I am simply trying my best to not interrupt everyone else’s good time.

They don’t need to do the whole “oh, we’re having fun, stay and party with us!” stuff, I would prefer they just continue to have their good time. To me, doing the goodbye round is about the same as the DJ destroying a good run of songs the crowd is feeling with one that has everyone scurrying off the dance floor — just kills the party vibe!

I had now idea there was a proper name for this but I am half Irish so maybe it is genetic!
