Dubai Metro

Described as the first urban train network in the Arabian Peninsula-the Dubai Metro is the cheapest and easiest way to see Dubai city. Way back in the year 2010, the residents and tourists to the country depended on cars, taxis and public buses. But the scenario has changed immensely since then. Today, the Dubai Metro is proven to be an effective and popular transit choice for residents and tourists alike. Here are the essential points that you need to look at about the Dubai Metro that helps you to reach Dubai’s neighbourhoods and amazing tourist destinations with ease and comfort.

  • The Dubai Metro follows 2 train lines namely the Red line and the Green line. The Red line goes on for 50 kilometres starting from the Dubai International Airport area and all the way to the Jebel Ali neighbourhood. Ideal for those who wish to travel through the Dubai Marina. The Red line has 29 stations while the Green line has twenty stations. The Green line is much shorter and runs for 22 kilometres starting from the Dubai Airport Free Zone till the Dubai Healthcare City. The Metro has an intersection at 2 stations namely Union Station and Khalid Bin Al Waleed.

  • One of the perks of travelling by the Metro is that in case you want to alight for shopping or simply for fun, you can get down at the station that connects to the shopping mall near the Dubai Metro. One such station is the Mall of the Emirates Metro station. The Dubai Metro station serves one of the most popular shopping malls in the city. Situated on Sheikh Zayed road between Al Barsha and Al Sufouh, a covered walkway connects directly to the Mall of the Emirates. The mall features unmatched luxury offering world renowned designer brands, 5 star hotels namely the Kempinski and the Sheraton Dubai.
