Progressive Drama Workshops
We’ve been toiling away here at Zazzy HQ over the last couple of months working on something special! After a lot of talking and planning we are ready to unveil our new Progressive Workshops! We’ve completely overhauled our primary progressive workshops, introducing; ‘Narrative Storytelling’ and
‘Elements of Drama’!
As always at Zazzy Drama, we’re all about flexibility, these workshops have been designed to be delivered over consecutive weeks from as little as three weeks to a full term.
As we’re discussing in our Benefits of Drama in Education series, there are many and various advantages to having drama as part of your school program. A major benefit for having a number of progressive sessions carried out during the school term, we can really help your students understand drama and connect to the content and their potential through drama in education. Drama has been shown to have benefits in all areas of education, from stimulating and strengthening students imaginations, to developing their problem-solving skills and developing their confidence and communication skills. Drama provides educational benefits that can be felt across all curriculum areas.
The first of our two progressive workshops is called ‘Narrative Storytelling’. This workshop package is developed and designed around the foundations of story-telling. Students will gain hands-on experiences with developing their dramatic skills and understandings of character and scene development, choosing a setting, exploring different genres and giving your students the skills and confidence they need to tell their own stories. The course will culminate in a performance of a story created and performed by your own students!
Our workshop package ‘Elements of Drama’, which provides your students with a series of immersive experiences looking into the specifics of drama. After an introduction into character and story, students will then unpack all the different elements that make up drama. Sessions are progressive, interactive activities that help students engage with elements such as sound, rhythm, mood, time, contrast and more. To conclude this workshop package, students will develop their own performance, guided and supported by the Zazzy Drama Instructor.
At Zazzy Drama we’re all about catering to you. So if you want a once-a-week drama program that runs for a whole term, or something to cover a few weeks, or even a number of classes across the same amount of days we can make it happen for you, all for very accessible prices.
