People like to indulge in a lot of myths and misconceptions surrounding breakfast. They also have a lot of wrongly placed notions about food and nutrition as a whole. Some people think that missing their breakfast or 1 meal in a day can help them lose weight. Some people think that intermittent fasting is perfect for everyone. Let’s talk about a few such notions about breakfast and what the actual truth is:

1. A Nutritious and Healthy Breakfast is Very Hard to Prepare

A lot of people think that preparing a nutritious breakfast at home is not possible or perhaps is one of the most difficult things to achieve. Instead, they go with packaged food items that are smartly advertised. The result is that they end up consuming nearly 31% more sugar and saturated carbs by making such choices.

It is very easy to prepare a healthy breakfast at home provided you are aware of the right ingredients such as organic eggs, fresh fruit, oatmeal, sugar-less cereals, skim milk, low-fat cottage cheese, chia seeds, healthy nuts, and the like.

2. Intermittent Fasting is for Everyone

Another very popular myth is that intermittent fasting is for everyone. While it can improve your metabolism and reduce the overall inflammation in your body, it is not suitable for everyone.

Also, it does not fit in the lifestyle of every individual that you know. So yes, skipping breakfast to accommodate intermittent fasting is not a good option and all.

3. Eating a Bigger Breakfast Helps You Build Muscle

You should understand that having a bigger breakfast is not going to help you put on more muscle weight. The ratio of carbohydrate to protein to essential fatty acids has to be just correct. Your body can only absorb a specific amount of protein and the rest is discarded as waste. Have you ever looked at the proportions that are served at the leading breakfast destinations in Chandigarh?

Conclusion

Breakfast is no doubt a very important meal of your day. You should never miss it or try to skip it just to lose a couple of kilos from your body.
