Handprint: The Game

In a bit of an nontraditional approach to game creation, I created a game that requires the use of your physical body, as well as a pen and paper. I created an icebreaker/get to know each other sort of game called “Handprint” (very basic, but I think the name makes sense). The game can be played by any number of people. In the game, each person has a piece of paper, and their own colored marker. Each player traces their own handprint onto their piece of paper. Once that’s done, you decide the order of the players. The first player allows each other member of the game to find a line on their hand, and trace it on their hand, as well as putting it on the same spot on the hand on their paper. Along with that, each tracing allows the tracer to ask the “tracee” (person who’s hand is being traced on) one question about themselves. The game ends when each player’s hand has been well-colored. It’s a good game that can be used to get to know your peers, and have fun while doing so.
