Elevator Pitch Live Demo

Over the last 2 weeks there was a heavy emphasis on creating a great demo to showcase our work for the live demos and also the elevator pitch. We managed to get Flappy Bird working with a punching gesture. The punching imitates a button press on the keyboard. Right now our gestures such as punching and kicking do not have (x,y) coordinate tracking, so we cannot have control over the mouse position. Therefore, we are collecting a number of 1-click-games, then translating the click to a button press. All of these games can be played with our current motioninput branch.

We have managed to extract the live video streams of each user on a Teams Call using a combination of NDI and OBS. On Teams you need to enable NDI broadcasting, and then on the OBS app you can select all the videos from the teams meeting.

With a raft of important guests, we wanted to make the demo fun to watch, whilst also getting across the physiotherapy aspect of the project. For these reasons we decided to demo Flappy Bird with our punching gesture, whilst explaining what we are doing to make the software important for physiotherapy. A similar approach was used for elevator pitch, with the addition of talking about our work with OBS and NDI.
