Definitely some good points, but I would comment that if an individual becomes a manager, he/she should not be starting at day 1. Leadership is simply managing relationships and you don’t have to have the title to develop that skill. Good leaders will be managing relationships with co-workers, friends, and family by listening to their needs and making decisions accordingly. The only difference when becoming a manager is that those decisions will effect more people. If someone has not developed these skills, they shouldn’t be made a manager in the first place, hence why there are probably so many bad ones.
