Don’t think she’s claiming you have to be friends with them, but if we truly care about women having equal footing than we can’t simply ignore it. Educating others and being a voice for them will eventually leave no room for misogyny to exist. Alienating ourselves from a problem doesn’t mean it stops existing.
Teamwork tends to breakdown the minute leaders believe they’ve earned the right to stop working. I think anger has the potential to keep this behavior in check. Problem is only the few actually show it so it’s easy to label them as difficult since most succumb to the pressure to smile and nod.
Appreciate you addressing the 'good ones' out there because I’ve seen their existence. Trouble is they are far and few between and it’s their responsibility to stand up among their peers and say “this is not how you treat fellow human beings”.
