Hambone. It’s become a household word now. Used mostly for comic effect, it first entered the lexicon in December 2015. Hayden and I received a foster placement referral for a 7 year old girl. This one was extra special as it included a short glowing description from her current caregiver family. And, her name was Loyalty. Such a fantastic name seemed a dangerous trap on first blush, so we began to wonder it’s power by trying out other less desirable names to test our attraction. What if her name was “Hambone,” would we still be so smitten?
