I struggle with an odd challenge.

You might find yourself in the story I’m about to tell.

Anytime I stumble upon an idea or learn something that came out of a success or a failure, or a person, or whatever weird place ideas generally originate from.

I get fixated on it. So much so, that it stalks me for years, and it kind of becomes a filter through which I perceive certain aspects of my life.

Somewhere a few years back, this exact thing happened.

And after I’ve seen its application in my life, I called it the Sequence.

Eight years ago, I accidentally stumbled upon the topic of productivity — without even knowing it.

I intended to find the most efficient and effective ways to finish the things I HAD to do, so I can have more time to do the things I WANT to do.

The reason I continued to explore this topic is rather simple — The skill of using your time efficiently is among the most crucial ones you can master.

There isn’t anything else in life (unless you are born…

“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then is not an act, but a habit.”

— Aristotle

Even without changing circumstances, sticking to your healthy habits can be challenging.

When you move from the comfort of your home and change your environment, a lot of things are no longer in your control. Thus, it’s difficult to remain consistent and stick to activities that bring us closer to our goals.

These difficulties can come in different forms:

  • Jet lag
  • Not having access to a gym
  • Not having access to the food you need for your diet
  • Not having enough time

If you’re not giving your best to this life, which life are you saving it for?

Recently I wrote about going through a quarter life crisis, getting out of it, and I went in depth about what came out of that experience.

But today I wanted to look even further and go to the earliest moments I had certain realizations and revelations that served me as a compass throughout life.

Originally, I wanted it to be 26 lessons — as I turned 26 in March.

However, when I started writing, 26 lessons turned into 31, which turned into 39, and…

Every day you wake up, a battle starts.

It’s similar to thousands of battles you’ve lead in your life. And just as any of them, this one offers the opportunity for you to be in charge of the outcome.

As time passes by, this process ends up being habitual and automatic. We don’t even notice how important it is for our lives to take control over how the battle ends in the end of the day.

This is the battle between two sides of your personality.

Let me explain.

One side has a Ph.D. in instant gratification, and its sole…

Whenever I write about using productivity to achieve your goals and become successful in different areas of your life, I focus on various tools, methods, and techniques that I’ve experimented with, that have drastically increased my productivity.

That’s is all nice and dandy, but as I was going through my articles, I noticed that I hadn’t placed enough emphasis on this one crucial thing because I assumed that we all know it’s important.

Our health.

Which goes to the old quote:

“Assumption is the mother of all screw-ups” — Unknown

People who personally know me are probably rolling their eyes…

“Prove you’re alive. If you don’t claim your humanity you will become a statistic. You have been warned…” — Tyler Durden, Fight Club

June 2012.

I was taking the final exam for a class called Psychology of Personality, and the bonus question was:

What’s The Fear of Success?

I smiled.

Months earlier, during the lectures, our professor briefly mentioned it and said pay attention to this one.

I’ve heard of the fear of failure, so my initial reaction was a bit of confusion.

Why would anyone be afraid of success?

It just doesn’t make any sense, I thought.

After the research, I…

Two years ago, I was working for Mindvalley, an online publishing company located in Malaysia.

The reason I was there was to learn how an online education company works, because up until that point I was an offline educator — spending my time delivering workshops and trainings, organizing seminars and conferences all over the Europe.

My goal was to quit that job and turn my blog Zero to Skill into an actual company.

The problem?

I didn’t have the money to invest in advertising my content, and…

If you’re like me, you want to create a life and habits that will help you achieve your dreams.

To do that, you need to learn how to master your time, use it in the most efficient way that will help you get results, and the first step is to learn how to use those first hours of your morning because they set the tone for the entire day.

That’s why it’s important to crush the beginning of the day because it will reflect on rest of it.

The morning routine is nothing more than several habits.

There are two types of habits you would want to form:

1. Habits that…

“In the realm of time, there is no aristocracy of wealth and no aristocracy of intellect. Genius is never rewarded by even an extra hour a day. And there is no punishment. Waste your infinitely precious commodity as much as you will, and the supply will never be withheld from you. You cannot draw the future. Impossible to get into debt! You can only waste the passing moment. You cannot waste tomorrow; it is kept for you. You cannot waste the next hour; it is kept for you.”

~ Arnold Bennett
