Minimalism Creates Space

I’ll share with you 3 ways Minimalism has helped my mental health for the past months.

Decluttering

Throwing away clothes and sentimental items that no longer bring value to my life creates so much space in my wardrobe and storage boxes. I do not know why but staring into empty spaces soothes my eyes looking at them. At the end of it all, I realised that I actually love cleaning. And cleaning helps to distract me from negative thoughts and overthinking.

Perspective

I feel calmer than ever before thanks to Minimalism. Once I got rid of all the physical mess in my life, these empty spaces and rooms gave me a sense of tranquility. I have lesser anxiety attacks. I still overthink but just not as much. I was always chasing for money in the past, which caused me to feel more stressed about not getting my shit together.

Now, I am not chasing anything but working towards living a more meaningful life, foster significant relationships with friends and family, learning to pace myself and value time.

Design

Lastly, Minimalism has affected my designs and my design processes. Nowadays, my works portray straight-to-the-point, precise and spacious elements. Also, I am loving the font Avenir.

Bye, Helvetica.
