How many organizations have we contacted to sponsor?
After a detailed research, our team contacted the Director General of PHA (Parks and Horticulture Authority) department; this department basically improves the plantation system. Develop and maintain public parks, green belts and green areas, regulate the use of public parks, regulate the installation of billboards, sky signs, out-door advertisements on private or public property. We asked them to sponsor us and allow us to plant a few trees with their team. And we got the positive response from them.
How many plants they will sponsor and venue for campaign?
In the last meeting with Deputy Director of PHA Mr. Zahid Iqbal, We decided the location for our campaign i.e Jam-E-Shirin Park near Liberty Market Lahore and the and he shows willingness to sponsor upto 50 plants.
What are the challenges that we faced?
As a group, all of the members are from different departments of Engineering and even from different cities, so it was quite difficult to establish proper coordination among the members. Due which there were some delays in the meetings with concerned authority.
What is the plan for next week?
Firstly we will hold a final meeting with Deputy Director to visit the venue on Tuesday/Wednesday and then finally execute our campaign on very next day of site visit.
After that we will prepare the final presentation for Mega Project and present in the session on 13 May, 2017.
