While I agree with you in general on the lack of thorough thinking from iOS 7 to 10, iOS 11 represents a significant step in the quality of user interactions.

There are, as you pointed out, alignment issues and awkward animations but the huge advancement in gestural interactions making them more convenient and much less ambiguous (for example in command center, notifications) more than makes up for it. I expect the visual quality to be polished up in the .Y releases.
